Hospitalisation Relief Scheme

The “Hospitalisation Relief Scheme” was launched by the Telangana Building & Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, LET&F (Labour) Department, Telangana. The scheme aims to provide financial assistance to construction workers who suffer temporary disabilities due to accidents or diseases and are hospitalised for five or more days. The relief may be extended up to three months for severe or terminal conditions.

Benefits

  • The relief amount is ₹300/- per day, subject to a maximum of ₹4,500/- per month.

Eligibility

  1. The worker must be a registered building and other construction worker with the Telangana Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board.
  2. The worker should be hospitalised for at least five days due to an accident or disease.

Application Process

Offline

Step 1: The interested applicant visits the official website and clicks on “Downloads” at the top of the menu options.

Step 2: Now, click on the download button corresponding to the scheme name.

Step 3: In the application form, complete all mandatory fields and attach copies of all required documents (self-attested, if applicable).

Step 4: Submit the duly filled and signed application form, along with the required documents, to the concerned Assistant Labour Officer.

Step 5: Request a receipt or acknowledgement from the authority to whom the application has been submitted. Ensure that the receipt contains essential details such as the date and time of submission, and a unique identification number (if applicable).

Documents Required

  • Passport-size Photograph.
  • Registration Card under the BOCW Act (Attested copy).
  • Renewal Challan Copy.
  • Admission Card of Hospital.
  • Doctor Certificate/Medical Certificate (issued not below the rank of Assistant Civil Surgeon of the Government Hospital/Primary Health Centre).
  • Advance Stamped Receipt.
  • 1st page of Bank Passbook (Attested copy).
